This is another pattern done with the cross-over double crochet stitch. It is for a cell phone holder, but you can also use the pattern to make a cute little coin purse. I have posted the instructions to crochet the cell phone holder first, and the special instructions for the coin purse right below.
You can line the cell phone holder if you want, but mine looks great the way it is. As for the coin purse, you will need to line it and sew in a zipper. I have not provided a tutorial on how to do it, but would be happy to create one if you let me know you’re interested.
If you like this stitch, you might also enjoy the matching patterns: a brim hat, twisted cowl, and a pair of fingerless gloves. Other patterns to come with this stitch include a purse and wallet. So if you like this one, stay tuned by subscribing to my newsletter and you’ll be notified the same week they are published. Hope you enjoy.

Working the Cross-Over Long Double Crochet:
For this pattern the cross-over long double crochet is worked into the last stitch made in previous round, or into the skipped stitch of current round. To make the stitch, yarn over and insert the hook from front to back into designated stitch. Yarn over at the back and pull through. You should have three loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through two loops. Yarn over and pull through last two loops. Picture and Video Tutorial

Ch 10, sl st in same place as prev join. FO.
Attach button on opposite side of holder as pictured.
Special Instructions for Coin Purse:
The coin purse measures about 3″ high by 3″ wide.
For rnds 1-5, follow the same instructions as given above.
For rnd 6, follow rnd 11.
For rnd 7, follow rnd 12 and FO.
And instead of making the loop for the button, line the purse and sew in a small zipper. Most likely you won’t find a 3″ zipper, but you can take any zipper and shorten it to that length.
