Cross-Over Long DC Purse
Free Bag Crochet Pattern
Thank you to all those who let me know about the printing problems. I think the "Print Friendly" code is working again. Not sure what the problem was but it should be working now. Let me know if you still run into issues.
And you can still right click and select print. It will give you a clean ad-free layout of the page. After you select print you can change the destination in the top left and save it as a PDF, fax it, or send it to your Google Drive. :)
At last I present to you my last pattern with the cross-over long double crochet stitch. At least it's the last one for now. I really love the stitch and I'll probably incorporate it into some of my future patterns, but this is it for now. I'm using my bag as a purse, but you could also use it as a small tote bag for library books or for whatever else you might need it for.
This page is for the crochet pattern only. I would recommend lining it for a stronger and less stretchier purse. If you have never lined a crocheted bag before, then you might benefit from this bag lining tutorial that I put together a few months ago. The tutorial provides the math formula to determine the correct cutting measurements for any size bag.

Working the Cross-Over Long Double Crochet:
For this pattern the cross-over long double crochet is worked into the last stitch made in previous round, or into the skipped stitch of current round. To make the stitch, yarn over and insert the hook from front to back into designated stitch. Yarn over at the back and pull through. You should have three loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through two loops. Yarn over and pull through last two loops. Picture and Video Tutorial
