Crocheted Slippers with the Loop Stitch

Loopy Slippers Loopy Slippers 1

A free crochet pattern for loopy slippers. The loop stitches take up quite a bit of yarn, but they will add to the warmth. For a tutorial on how to make the loop stitches, click here.

The crocheted slippers have a cuff that is optional, as instructions are given to crochet the slippers with or without the cuffs.

Thank you to all those who let me know about the printing problems. I think the "Print Friendly" code is working again. Not sure what the problem was but it should be working now. Let me know if you still run into issues.

And you can still right click and select print. It will give you a clean ad-free layout of the page. After you select print you can change the destination in the top left and save it as a PDF, fax it, or send it to your Google Drive. :)

Note: If you choose not to make the cuffs, but want the loop stitches to come up to the top round, then continue working the loop stitches in every other round as you work rounds 23-27.

Rnd 23-27: Sc around. Join with sl st at last rnd, and fasten off.

Cuffs (Optional):

Row 1: Ch 39, (43, 47), sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn.

Row 2: 1 loop st in each st to end. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 once, then repeat row 2 once more. Fasten off, leaving a long enough string to attach it to the slipper.

Fold the slipper in half and find the center st at the front. Attach the cuffs to the top row of the slipper, starting at the center stitch so that the opening of the cuffs is at the front. You also want to make sure that the wrong side of the cuff is facing the outside of the slippers. This way the loops will end up on the outside.
