Ruffled Scarf Crochet Pattern

Ruffled Scarf

Material: Red Heart Soft Touch, 1 5oz. ball of each color.
Hook Size: H/8-5.00MM
Finished Measurements: 6" wide and 50" long. You can make the scarf as long as you like, but remember that you will need to purchase more yarn.

CA = Color A, This is the main color of the scarf.
CB = Color B, This is the color of the edging.

Shell: 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc all in the same lp indicated.

With CB, Ch 19

Row 1: Sc into second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn.

Row 2: Continue with CB, ch 1, sc in first 4 sts, *ch 2, sc in next 2 sts, repeat from * to last 2 sts, sc in last 2 sts. Turn.

Row 3: Attach CA, ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next st, sk next 2 sts, work shell in each ch-2 lp across, dc in last 2 sts. Turn.

Row 4: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next st, work shell in each shell across, dc in last 2 sts. Turn.

Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 4 once more.

Rnd 6: Attach CB, ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, ch 1, *sc in next shell, ch 1, repeat from * to end, sc in last 2 sts. Turn.

Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch up to center ch, 2 sc into center ch, sc in each st and ch across. (18 sc) Turn.

Repeat rows 2-7 as many times as needed to reach desired length. Do not turn at last row.

Edging: Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) all in the corner st, working along the edge of the scarf *work shell in top of next 3 dc sts, shell in next sc row, sk next 2 rows of sc sts, repeat from * to corner st, work shell in corner st, sk next st, (shell in next st, sk next 2 sts) 5 times, work shell in corner st, sk next row of sc sts, **shell in next sc st, shell in top of next 3 dc sts, sk next 2 rows of sc sts, repeat from ** to corner st, shell in corner sts, sk next st, (shell in next st, sk next 2 sts) 5 times, join with sl st, fasten off.
