Free Crochet Ear Warmer Pattern.
Spring is almost here… the weather is still cold, but warmer temperatures are starting to roll around. That means that we can start packing away our heavy winter gear and bring out the lighter spring wear.
And this crochet ear warmer is the perfect accessory to replace a winter’s hat. It has a lovely twist, which can be worn at the forehead or at the side.
Crochet it to any size you need and feel free to use any yarn and hook size. However, I strongly recommend using the Cotton Fair as it provides a nice comfy stretch. The yarn is on the expensive side, but so well worth it.

Crochet Pattern Instructions:
Rnd 1: Loosely ch 81 (or any number of chains needed to obtain desired length), working into back bumps, sc in 2nd ch from hook and into each ch across. [80 sts]
Make a twist in your work and join the top of the last st made to the bottom of the first st made. Then with the tail end, join the last st to the top of the first st made. [80 sts]
Note for Rnd 2: In Rnd 2 you will crochet around both the top and bottom of the sts made in Rnd 1. Thus, you will double your sts once from 80 to 160.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, hdc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first hdc. Turn. [160 sts]
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first st and into each st around; join with sl st in first sc. Do Not Turn. [160 sts]
Rnds 4-7: Rep Rnds 2 and 3. Fasten Off at last round.
