Material: Red Heart Comfort, or any worsted weight yarn.
Hook Size: I/9-5.50MM
Finished sizes: Measure 19" (20", 21") in circumference.

Directions are for small, changes for medium and large are in parenthesis.

Here is a tutorial on how to attach the peak to the band.

Band:
Ch 52, (56, 60), join with sl st to first ch being careful not to twist the chs.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in first ch and in each ch around. Join with sl st to first sc. Do not turn. 52, (56, 60) sts.

Rnd 2: Ch 4 (counts as first tr), tr in next st and in each st around. Join with sl st to first tr (ch4). Do not turn. 52, (56, 60) sts.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st around. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. 52, (56, 60) sts.

Peak:
Row 1: With right side of work facing, join yarn to the 21 (22, 23) st from beginning of round. Ch 1, work 2 sc in same st and in each of next 11 (13, 15) sts. 24 (28, 32) sts. Turn

Row 2: Ch 1, skip first st, working in back loops only, sc in each of remaining sts, working in both loops, hdc in next st in last round of the band, sl st into next 2 sts of the band. Turn

Row 3: Ch 1, skip first st, working in both loops, sc in each st to the end of row, hdc in next st in last round of the band, sl st into next 2 sts of the band. Turn

Rows 4-7: Repeat row 3. Fasten off after row 7 and weave in ends.
