Crochet this pretty ear warmer for yourself or for your children. It’s given in one size, however it can be adjusted to any size in multiples of two.

The ear warmer features a pretty lace along with a beaded texture to please just about everyone. So you can’t go wrong. Due to the lace, this might not be suitable for the extreme cold. However, if you have long hair, you might just get away with it.

And feel free to experiment with different yarns and hook sizes if you like.

Pattern Information:

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft #4
Crochet Hook: H/8-5.00mm

Gauge: 3″ over 10 sts.

Finished Size: Laying flat it measures 9.5 by 3 inches.

Abbreviations:

Bead St = Bead Stitch
Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Hk = Hook
Lp/Lps = Loop/Loops
Rep = Repeat
Sc = Single Crochet
Sk = Skip
Sl St = Slip Stitch
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches
YO = Yarn Over

Special Stitch Instructions:

Bead St: Insert hk into indicated st, yo and pull through, (yo and pull through one lp on hk) twice, yo and pull through both lps on hk. When you work into the next stitch make sure the bobble is facing the right side. See Tutorial

Pattern Instructions:

Loosely ch 64 (or any multiple of 2). Join with sl st to first ch being careful not to twist chs.

Another Option: Instead of chs, make 64 Foundation Single Crochets. Then skip rnd 1 and begin at rnd 2.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, working into back bumps, sc in same ch as join and into each ch around; join with sl st to first sc. (64 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, work bead st in same st as join, *sc in next st, bead st in next st; rep from * around to last st; sc in last st; join with sl st to first bead st. (64 sts)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, (hdc, ch 1) in first st, *sk next st, (hdc, ch 1) in next st; rep from * around to last st; sk last st; join with sl st to first hdc. (32 ch-1 spaces)

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in same st as join and into each st and ch around; join with sl st in first sc. (64 sts)

Rnds 6-11: Rep rnds 2 to 5 ending with rnd 3 at rnd 11. Fasten Off at last rnd.
