Happy Holidays Can Cozy
Happy Holidays Can Cozy ~ FREE Crochet Pattern

Crochet this cute cozy for your pencil can on your desk, or for a vase around your home. It works up quick and only uses a small amount of yarn, making it great for a stashbuster project.

Pattern Information

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver (Worsted Weight (#4) 100% acrylic, 7 oz/198g – 364 yds/333m)
Crochet Hook: H 5.00mm

Finished Size: Fits snug around a 3″ Diameter

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Dc = Double Crochet
Fptr = Front Post Triple Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Rep = Repeat
Sc = Single Crochet
Sk = Skip
Sl St = Slip Stitch
Sp/Sps = Space/Spaces
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches

Pattern Instructions:

Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 8 hdc into 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st in first hdc. [8 sts]

Rnd 2: Ch 1 (does not count as st now and throughout), work 2 hdc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first hdc. [16 sts]

Rnd 3: Ch 1, hdc in same st as join, 2 hdc in next st, *hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st; rep from * around; join with sl st in first hdc. [24 sts]

Rnd 4: Ch 1, hdc in same st as join and into next st, 2 hdc in next st, *hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st; rep from * around; join with sl st in first hdc. [32 sts]

Rnd 5: Ch 1, hdc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first hdc. [32 sts]

Rnd 6: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3) in same st as join, *sk next 3 sts, (sc, ch 3) in next st; rep from * around; sk last 3 sts; join with sl st in first sc. [8 ch-3 sps]

Rnd 7: Sl st into first ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), work another 2 dc in same sp, backtrack to the right and fptr around first sc, *3 dc into next ch-3 sp, backtrack to the right and fptr around sc; rep from * around; join with sl st in first dc. [32 sts]

Rnds 8-11: Rep rnd 6 and 7.

Rnd 12: Rep Rnd 5.

Rnd 13: Ch 1, reverse single crochet in each st around; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten Off.
