Free Crochet Wine Bottle Cozy Pattern

Swish-Swash Wine Bottle Cozy ~ FREE Crochet Pattern
Swish-Swash Wine Bottle Cozy ~ FREE Crochet Pattern

Today we have another crochet wine bottle cozy for the upcoming holiday season. The finished size fits a 4″ diameter bottle, but you can adjust that in any multiple of 3. And because it’s so easy to adjust in size, feel free to choose any yarn and hook size. Just remember if you make changes in stitch counts you’ll also need to make adjustments on the handle.

I chose a green and white, but choose as many colors as you like to get the design you want. The two colors are switched after each round in this pattern. For more ideas on color design see the swish-swash collection. (My personal favorite is to use two colors and change them after every two rounds as done in this dishcloth.)

Another option for this pattern is to omit the handles for a cool jar cozy if you’re making gifts in a jar.

Crochet Pattern Information:

Skill Level:

Materials:
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver (worsted-weight (#4), 100% acrylic, 7 oz/198g – 364 yds/333m) – 2 Colors.
Crochet Hook: H/8-5.00mm

Gauge: Approximately 1″ over first 2 Rnds.

Finished Size: Fits a 4″ diameter bottle.

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Dc = Double Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
MC = Main Color
Rep = Repeat
RS = Right Side
Sc = Single Crochet
Sk = Skip
Sl St = Slip Stitch
Sp/Sps = Space/Spaces
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches

Notes:

Carry unused color up at each round.

Change to new color after you’ve made the join in the round. First two stitches in each round hide the color change.
