Fashion Doll Cowl & Ear Warmer

Here is the Fallin’ Back Cowl for the fashion doll. It’s crocheted in a #1 yarn to achieve a much smaller version for the doll. This one is for the fashion, or Barbie doll, but it can be adjusted to fit any doll you have in mind, using any type of yarn you like.

The cowl shown here is just long enough to wrap two or three times. And the headband fits nicely over the head, but can also be worn as a cowl around the neck.

And best of all, it makes for a nice stocking stuffer for your little girls’ doll.

Abbreviations:

CA = Color A
CB = Color B
Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
FO = Fasten Off
Bphdc = Back Post Half Double Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Sc = Single Crochet
Sl St = Slip Stitch
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches

Notes:

• Join new color in joining sl st of each rnd.
• Carry yarn up at each round.

Cowl Pattern Instructions:

With CA, Ch 80, join with sl st being careful not to twist chs.

Rnd 1: Ch 1 (does not count as st, now and throughout), hdc in same ch as join and into each ch around; With CB, join with sl st. (80 sts)

Rnd 2: With CB, Ch 1, bphdc in same st as join and into each st around; with CA, join with sl st in first bphdc.

Rnd 3: With CA, Ch 1, hdc in same st as join and into each st around; With CB, join with sl st in first hdc.

Rnd 4: Rep rnd 2.

Rnd 5: With CA, ch 1, sc same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first sc. FO.

Headband Instructions:

Ch 20, and follow pattern as above.
