Easy Breezy Summer Poncho

Summer is long over, but this easy breezy poncho is perfect for the fall as well. It’s great for adding a bit of warmth to your back and shoulders; or as a cover-up.
The pattern for this poncho is given in my size: Adult extra small, teen or a child. What can I say, the universe thought it was best for me to remain at only 4′ 10.5″. And so here I am trying to design things myself and others who have the same height as me.
At the same time, despite the small size, you can crochet this cool poncho in any size that you want! Simply start your chains with any multiple of two, and follow the pattern.
And since it’s so easy to adjust in size, you can probably crochet this in almost any yarn you want as well.
Skill Level: Easy
Materials:
Yarn: Woolike Yarn by Loops & Threads (affiliate link) – One 3.5oz ball. Or any super fine (1) yarn.
Crochet Hook: G 4.0mm
Gauge: 2″ over 8 hdc; however, gauge is not important as you can make this any size you like.
Finished Size: Instructions are given for a child/teen size or adult extra small. However, you can crochet it to fit any size by increasing your starting chains in multiples of 2 and doing more increase rounds.
Abbreviations:
Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains

Thanks!
I love the versatility of this pattern, brilliant, I have made many in different sizes and lengths and added a variation to some by putting a drawstring at the neck. The elderly (especially) love them. I dropped a bunch at the hospital and at the hospice and they keep wanting more.
Thank you
Hi Lyne, Thank you so much for the feedback. It’s very kind of you to take the time to crochet for others…. I know how much time goes into the process.
