My First Crochet Teddy Bear Amigurumi by Cream Of The Crop Crochet
My First Crochet Teddy Bear Amigurumi by Cream Of The Crop Crochet makes for a lovely first gift for any baby, whether a boy or girl. It’s shown here in a pretty girly color, but why not try a brown, grey or an off-white color for a little boy. Or, since babies love all things colorful, why not crochet one up in bright and lively colors from your yarn stash!
The finished size of this measures about 13″. But the great thing about crocheted amigurumi, is that you can easily adjust the size by switching up your yarn and hook sizes. Just make sure that the stitches are solid enough to hold the stuffing in.
Also, make sure the little bow, ribbon and facial buttons are nice and secure to avoid choking and other injuries to the baby.
What I like about this crochet teddy bear is the pear-shaped body; and the arms and legs are perfect for baby to practice their motor skills. Best of all, it’s soft and cuddly to comfort the little ones. And I’m sure it’ll be a toy they’ll want to hold onto for a good several years.
