Alternating Hair Scrunchie Pattern

October 6, 2015 · Rhelena · Leave a Comment

The Alternating hair scrunchie pattern was, of course, inspired by my other patterns in the alternating series. It’s quick and easy to crochet, and perfect for holding medium to long hair.

The stitch pattern is a multiple of 2, which means that you can easily crochet this around any sized elastic, using any yarn and crochet hook size.

Hope you’ll enjoy this hair scrunchie. And if you like this, you might also enjoy this ruffled scrunchie or the layered scrunchie. Or, for a great selection, you might want to check out more Hair Scrunchies on CPB.

Materials:
Yarn: Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny (4), Two colors. Or any similar yarn.
Crochet Hook: H/8-5.00mm

Notes:

Color changes are made after each round is joined with a slip stitch.

Carry yarn up after each color change.

Join each round in both loops of first stitch.

If you experience difficulties making the first flhdc and blslst in each round, try wiggling the hook.

You might also benefit from this tutorial showing how to alternate between front and back loops.
