Bootie Slippers
As requested and as promised, here are a few larger versions of the Adult Crochet Slipper pattern that was published many moons ago. I also included a smaller size here so you could crochet these for kids as well.
It took me a long time to get these sizes out, as I’m not familiar with sizing slippers. I’m still not very comfortable on the sizing, but I wanted to get the pattern out to serve as a guideline for anyone needing a larger size.
I’ve left you with the sole measurements to help determine which size you need. The small and medium only measure 3″ wide, but you can easily make them wider by working half double crochets instead of the single crochets. See pattern for instructions.
As for the top part, if you need a wider opening, simply eliminate one or two decrease rounds to give you more room. And for a tighter fit, do an extra decrease round if desired.
And I’d love to hear your feedback on these. Thanks so much. :)

Thank you so very much for your wonderful and easy to follow instructions! I make slippers for the folks doing dialysis with my husband. Been looking for an easy, one-piece pattern for them and have found it. Thanks again.
Can you clarify something for me. In you pattern where it says sc in 0 or hdc in 0 do you actually do the stitch in the next stitch or not. I have not seen this before in a pattern. I am kind of self taught. Not a pro at this. Thanks
Hi Debbie, so this is a mutliple sized pattern with special instructions given for each size. Instructions are given for smallest size, with special instructions for larger sizes in parentheses. So in this case you don’t work a stitch and move on to the next step. If you are making the smallest size you can simply ignore the part that is striked out in Rnd 2 and move on to the next set of instructions. Hope that makes sense.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as join, sc in next 8, (9, 10, 11) sts, *2 hdc in next 2 sts,
hdc in next 0, (1, 2, 3) st(s),2 hdc in next 2 sts,* 3 hdc in next st. Rep from * to * once, sc in next 8, (9, 10, 11) sts, 2 sc in last st. Join with sl st in first sc. [39, (43, 47, 51) sts]I Ike your directions- easy to follow and not intimidating to a returning crocheter who’s left my stash ignored for way too long! Thanks, my friend.
Finally-a really FREE PATTERN!
