Crochet Mesh Blanket Pattern

The chain 3 mesh crochet blanket pattern works up quickly and easily. It is the perfect summer blanket pattern for the cottage or the front porch to keep you cozy on cool summer evenings. 

This easy-breezy blanket pattern is given in lapghan size, but can easily be adjusted for other sizes, too. A stitch multiple and a blanket size chart are included.

Crochet Mesh Blanket Pattern Information

The stitch pattern works well with stripes, making it an excellent stashbuster blanket pattern. If you love simple, you might also enjoy this simple crochet blanket pattern, or this crochet lapghan pattern with pink stripes. Another mesh blanket is the diamond mesh blanket, which is worked similarly, but with larger chain spaces.

  • Yarn: Caron One Pound (Medium, #4; 100% acrylic; 16 oz/453.6g; 812yds/742m) Colors: CA = Light Violet, 1 ball; CB = White, 1 ball.
  • Crochet Hook: I/9-5.50mm
  • Other: Measuring Tape, Scissors, Yarn Needle.

  • Gauge: 13 sc sts = 4″.
  • Finished Size: 37″ x 48″.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 3, sk next 2 sc, sc in next sc; rep from * across. Turn. [39 ch-3 sps]

Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch-1 sp), sc in first ch-3 sp, *ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp; rep from * across; ch 1, dc in last sc. Turn. [2 ch-1 sps and 38 ch-3 sps]

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first dc, *ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp; rep from * across; ch 3, sc in last dc (3rd of the 4 chs). Turn. [39 ch-3 sps]

Rows 5-118: Rep Rows 3 and 4.

Row 119: Rep Row 3. [2 ch-1 sps and 38 ch-3 sps]
