Lacy Round Crochet Blanket Pattern
Here is the large lacy round crochet blanket pattern as requested many times after this baby blanket was published. It features a simple lace pattern that will look great on a full-sized bed or draped over the back of the couch.
The Size
The finished size of this crochet circle blanket measures 80 inches across the diameter. It’s perfect for a double bed or for the back of a couch. It a tougher yarn you might also be able to use this as a floor rug.
Another baby version is available using a super bulky yarn: Lacy Crochet Round Baby Blanket
The Yarn
The crochet blanket is worked up in a super bulky yarn, but it also works in a baby yarn for a pretty baby-sized blanket as well. Or, choose a worsted weight yarn for a slightly bigger-than-baby size.
I used Bernat Blanket, a super bulky #6 yarn. The yarn is made with 100% polyester materials. It’s really soft and easy to work with, making it great for blankets.
For the baby sized blanket I used Bernat Baby Sport, which comes in big balls to help save you money.
The Stitch Pattern
This pattern is worked up in single and double crochets along with chain spaces. It is a “growing” mesh lace blanket with the mesh sections getting bigger with each pattern repeat.
I was unable to get a solid pattern going on this to make it simple to increase if desired. For the time being this is the best I can do, but I may revisit this again in the future.

Notes
- I found the blanket to be a bit tight (not quite enough stitches in the round for it to lay flat to my liking) after Rounds 12, 20 and 28. But it came out good in the end. Blocking is recommended, especially around the edge.

HI,
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your talents and your patterns. I didn’t realize, but now I do, that you have your patterns on two places you will make some money. Yet, you choose to give those of us who don’t have quite as much as maybe others a chance to make things and learn from you at no cost. But the ads are on these that is cool. Seriously, I just wanted to say thank you for being so kind. Thank you!
Very gratefully,
Lori
Hi Lori, You’re very welcome. :) And thank you for the feedback.
What if I am not using chunky yarn or N size hook? And how would I about making it larger?
Honestly Katie, I’m not sure. I would imagine you could continue in the pattern rounds, but you may have to play around with it some to get the stitch counts to work out. Sorry, I don’t have the instructions at the time.
