Chained Puffs Headband

Not only does the chained puffs headband work up quickly, but it’s also the perfect summer accessory for pretty much all hair types and all occasions. It’s also easy to adjust in size, so you can make a few for yourself and a few for your daughter as well.

It’s an intermediate pattern, but advanced crocheters might be able to tackle this one with the help of the video tutorial found below the written pattern.

The crochet headband ties at the back for a comfortable fit. It’s stylish enough to wear with anything in your closet from everyday wear to fancy wedding accessories. And you can wear it flat as shown above, or make a few twists and wear it as shown below. Another option is to wear only a single strand of the chained puffs. Either way, it’ll keep your hair back in style!

Since this pattern is so easy to customize, you can basically use any scrap yarn or thread that you have on hand.

Not only is this perfect for a headband, but making it slightly longer will result in a nice belt that you can wear with anything from jeans to a dress. So I hope you will enjoy. Crochet Pattern Information:

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft (Worsted Weight (#4) 100% acrylic, 6 oz/170.1 g – 315 yds/288 m)
Crochet Hook: G 4.0mm

Finished Size: Can be crocheted to any size needed.

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Lp/Lps = Loop/Loops
Sl St = Slip Stitch
YO = Yarn Over

Special Stitch Instructions:

Puff St: (Yo, insert hk into ch, yo and pull through) 3 times (7 lps on hk), yo and pull through all 7 lps.

Crochet Pattern Instructions:

Make 3:

Ch 52, puff st in 2nd ch from hook; *Ch 4, puff st in 2nd ch from hook; repeat from * 17 times, or until you have reached a desired length; ch 50. Fasten Off.

Whether you’re making a headband or belt, lay the three pieces as shown below. Then tie a knot at each end.

Wear it flat. Or, make a few twists and tie at the back.
