Front Loop Single Crochet
The front loop single crochet works up easy and adds a beautiful texture on both sides of your crochet work. The stitch is perfect for blankets, hats, and so much more!
Not only is this a pretty stitch, but it is mindless and perfect for working with while watching your favorite shows.
The stitch is worked the same as the regular single crochet, except instead of working into both loops of the previous row, you only crochet into the front loop. This leaves the back loop of the stitch free, which is what gives you a beautiful texture.
The first step to making the front loop single crochet is to insert your hook under the top loop closest to you.
Then wrap the yarn over the hook and pull through, just like in a normal single crochet stitch. You should have two loops on the hook.
Wrap the yarn over the hook again and pull through to finish the stitch. Below the stitch is complete.
