Bead and Lace Boot Cuffs

Crocheted boot cuffs are not only stylish to wear, but believe it or not, they actually help to keep the cold air out of the boots. They help to provide a nice snug fit between the boots and the leg to provide maximum warmth for your feet.

These cuffs have a bit of lace mixed in with the bead stitch to give you a nice texture. They are easy to adjust to any size. Increase the width at the ribbing rows, and the height can be increased simply by doing more repeats of the pattern rounds. Here is a crochet boot cuffs size chart.

I used a #4 yarn, but because they’re so easy to customize, you can use any yarn that you have on hand. It would even look nice in stripes, making it a great stashbuster pattern.

Ribbing Rows

Row 1: Ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in next 7 chs. Turn. (8 sc)

Rows 2-32: Ch 1, blsc in each st across. Turn. (8 sts) Continue with this row until you have reached a desired circumference making sure to end in an even number of rows.

Ch 1 and join the ribbing rows by slip stitching the last row to the free lps of starting chs. You might have your own way of doing it, but I like to join the front lps of last row worked to the free lps of starting chs.

Begin Working in Rounds:

Rnd 1: Counting each row end as a st, Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st around; join with sl st to first sc. (32 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, work bead st in same st as join, *sc in next st, bead st in next st; rep from * around to last st; sc in last st; join with sl st to first bead st. (32 sts)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, (hdc, ch 1) in first st, *sk next st, (hdc, ch 1) in next st; rep from * around to last st; sk last st; join with sl st to first hdc. (16 ch-1 spaces)

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in same st as join and into each st and ch around; join with sl st in first sc. (32 sts)

Rnds 6-11: Rep rnds 2 to 5 until you’ve reached a desired height making sure to end with rnd 3 at rnd 11. Fasten Off at last rnd.
