Bouncy Bubbly Crochet Twist Ear Warmer Pattern

The bouncy bubbly crochet twist ear warmer pattern was created for those who love a bead-like texture. In addition to the texture, this crochet ear warmer also has a nice stretch, which makes this comfortable for wearing.

Shown in a solid color, this crochet ear warmer could also be worked in two colors with color changes being made after each row. Another option would be to work the single crochet and chain one rows with one color throughout while changing up the bead stitch rows for a pretty rainbow color.

The Size

Although given in one size only to fit an adult large, this crochet ear warmer pattern is super easy to adjust for any size that you need from child to adult. This crochet ear warmer size chart can be used as a reference.

Just remember that the ends are sewn together in an overlapping manner, which then needs additional length. This large ear warmer is about two inches longer than needed prior to sewing the ends.

The Yarn

Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand Yarns is a good option, but other similar yarns could be used as a substitute. What I love about Vanna’s choice is that it results in a nice stretchy material especially when worked with a 6 mm crochet hook.

The Stitch Pattern

The pattern is worked over two rows, with one row being worked with the single crochet and chain one spaces, followed by the single crochet and bead stitch in the next row.

Step 1

To sew the twist, fold the band lengthwise with the Right Sides together and the Wrong Sides facing the outside.

Step 2

Layer the band as shown so that the edges overlap from the center. You can place your stitch markers in the middle if you like. I just eyeballed it, because you can adjust it in Step 5 as needed.

Step 3

Then fold one end over the other as shown below.

Step 4

Next, fold the second end over so that the ends interlock.

Step 5

You should have four layers. Make adjustments as needed to make sure everything is centered evenly.

Step 6

With your tail end of the yarn, and using a tapestry needle, sew across making sure to go through all four layers.

Step 7

Turn right side out to hide the seam. Easy Peasy!!!
