V-Stitch Crochet Pattern for Doll Blanket

By Rhelena 2 Comments

This quick and easy crochet pattern for doll blanket is a nice way to clean up your yarn stash while making a little something for your little ones to play with.

V-Stitch Crochet Pattern for Doll Blanket is shown covering a Barbie doll.

The finished size is 12 inches square, making it perfect for the Barbie doll. But you can easily adjust this in a simple multiple for other dolls as well. Or, make a pretty baby blanket if you like.

I used a single color yarn, but the v-stitch looks lovely if done in striped. Use as many colors as you like, but if you work with three colors you can easily carry the yarn and change to new colors without having a ridiculous amount of loose ends to weave in.

Also, since this is so easy to adjust in size, you can basically use any yarn and hook size that you want. Just make adjustments in a multiple of three to get the width that you need.

This crochet pattern for doll blanket features the half double crochet v-stitch. You can also rotate the stitch with the double crochet v-stitch for a slightly different look. Here is what it looks like in a dishcloth pattern.

Other doll patterns that you might enjoy include this doll ottoman, a pair of hats and cozy winter jackets.

Hello, I have a question…the directions say to repeat rows 2 and 3, but there is only a row 1 and 2. Can you clarify for me? What am I supposed to repeat in this pattern?

Sorry Nancy, my mistake and it’s been fixed now. Rows 3 to 30 are worked the same as row 2. Thanks for letting me know. :)
