Skill Level: Easy

Materials

  • Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (Worsted Weight, #4; 100% Cotton; 1.75 oz/50g; 80yds/73m) 1 ball
  • Crochet Hook: H-5.00mm
  • Tools: Measuring Tape, Scissors, Yarn Needle.

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I love Bernat Handicrafter Cotton for all my dishcloths! Any similar dishcloth cotton can be used, however.

Even mercerized cotton such as Lion Brand 24/7 cotton is a good choice and could be used here. You may need to adjust stitch counts to get the same measurements, but that is super easy to do.

Measurements

  • Gauge: 11 sts/chs = 4″.
  • Finished Measurement: 9.5″ by 9.5″.

The finished size came out to about 9.5 inches square. You can easily adjust that size in a multiple of 3 for the starting chains. Thus, it is super easy to make a placemat, table runner, and a coaster set to match.
