Dishcloths

Crochet dishcloth patterns make for quick and easy gift ideas for your friends and family. They are a great way to use up leftover cotton yarns as you can whip them up in simple stripes to use up whatever colors you want to get rid of. Some of my favorite dishcloths are the Beginner Crochet Dishcloth, which is worked up in single crochets only. And if you’re looking for something more flexible and drapey, then I’d suggest the Dandy – Easy Crochet Dishcloth.

As for yarn, choose your favorite cotton yarn that is designed to be made into dishcloths. Dishcloth cottons are generally made stronger so they can hold up to lots of scrubbing.

Some prefer acrylic yarn, which is fine if you plan on using the cloths in the bath. Acrylic dries much quicker, which is a plus for the bath, but it doesn’t hold up as well to your kitchen scrubbing needs.
