Simple Seeded Lace Crochet to go Cup Cozy Pattern
Make this crochet to-go cup cozy pattern as a last-minute gift idea for all tea and coffee lovers. It’s a great accessory to keep in your car or in your purse to have it handy when caffeine cravings arise.
The great thing about this crochet coffee cozy is that you can make it with leftover yarn from other cotton projects. That way you don’t even need to spend money and you can feel good about being able to use up the very last strands of leftovers.
The Size
The finished size is designed to fit a standard coffee cup. I’ve tested it on all three heights, and it works great on all three standard cup sizes.
However, if you need to make adjustments to the size, you can do so by making more or fewer chains in the multiple provided.
The Yarn
For a cup cozy that will be used with hot liquids, you’ll always want to stick with cotton yarn because it better protects against heat.
I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton. It is a medium worsted-weight yarn and is available in most of the popular yarn stores.

The Stitch Pattern
Here we have what I called the simple seeded lace stitch. It is an open stitch worked with the half double and chain one space in one round followed by the seed stitch worked into the half double crochet in the next round.
It’s pretty, yet simple, and perfect for many crochet projects!
