This handy picot flower scrubby is perfect for the bath or for scrubbing and dusting around the home. Plus, I’m sure it would be a handy scrubber for bathing babies and small children.

And it’ll make for a lovely gift idea too!

The hand strap can be adjusted as needed simply by crocheting a longer or shorter strap.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:
Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton #4
Crochet Hook: 5.00mm.

Finished Size: 3.5″ across.

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Dc = Double Crochet
Fpsc = Front Post Single Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Sc = Single Crochet
Sc3tog = Single Crochet 3 Together
Sl St = Slip Stitch
Sp/Sps = Space/Spaces
St/Sts = Stitch/Stiches

Special Stitch Instructions:

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

Pattern Instructions:

Rnd 1: Ch 3, [(dc, picot) into 3rd ch from hook] 10 times. (Skipped chs do not count as st.) Join with sl st in first dc. (10 dc and 10 picots) TURN.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, (fpsc, ch 1) into first dc and into each dc around; join with sl st in first fpsc. (10 sts and 10 ch-1 sps) TURN.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, (hdc, picot) twice into each ch-1 sp around; join with sl st in first hdc. (20 hdc and 20 picots.) TURN.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, (fpsc, picot) into each hdc around; join with sl st in first fpsc. (20 fpsc and 20 picots)

Optional Hand Strap:

Row 1: Ch 1, work 3 sc in same st as join. TURN.

Rows 2-14(or more): Ch 1, sc in each st across. (3 sts) TURN.

Row 15: Ch 1, sc3tog. Fasten Off leaving a long enough tail for sewing to sc st on opposite side of scrubby.
