Chain Loops Bath Pouf

Chain Loops Bath Pouf - FREE Crochet Pattern
Chain Loops Bath Pouf – FREE Crochet Pattern

This bath pouf is crocheted up in two sizes, one for children and the other for adults. Technically they both have the same measurements across, but the larger is slightly fuller than the small. This is because the large has the same amount of rounds, but with more increases made in round 2, which simply compacts the stitches for a nice full scrubbie.

The pattern is very easy, and if you can follow a pattern, make chains and single crochets, then you can crochet this!

It makes for a great gift for yourself, or anyone in your circle of friends and family.

Chain Loops Bath Pouf - Child-Size
Chain Loops Bath Pouf – Child-Size

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:
Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter (I used off-white and red bud)
Crochet Hook: H/8-5.00mm

Finished Size: Measures about 3.5″-4″ across the top. The off-white is suitable for children, and the red is fuller making it more suitable for women.

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Lp/Lps = Loop/Loops
Sc = Single Crochet
Sl St = Slip Stitch

Note: Instructions are given for the smaller size. Adjustments for the fuller pouf are given in parenthesis ( ) in rnd 2.

Pattern Instructions:

Ch 5, join with sl st to form ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3) 10 times into ring. Join with sl st in first sc. (10 lps)

Loop for Hanging: Ch 30, skip next 5 lps, sl st in next sc. (Keep this loop at the back of your work so it don’t get tangled in with the other rounds.) Begin rnd 2 in next lp.

Rnd 2: Sl st into ch-3 lp, ch 1, [sc, ch 3] 3 (4) times into same lp and into each ch-3 lp around; join with sl st in first sc. (30 (40) ch-3 lps.)

Rnd 3: Sl st into ch-3 lp, ch 1, [sc, ch 6] 4 times into same lp and into each ch-3 lp around; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten Off.
