How To Make an Extended Single Crochet Stitch (esc)

The extended single crochet stitch is slightly taller than the single crochet, yet still nice and solid to make cozy winter items. I love the texture that you get when working in rows, but it also looks very nice when worked in the round.

The Extended Single Crochet worked in rows.

Although a nice texture, it is still simple enough to use when crocheting for men and boys, anyone else who likes the simple things in life.

It’s very easy to make and a great stitch for making scrubbies, socks, or any other pattern.

The extended single crochet is a version of the single crochet.
