Perhaps it’s a bit late in the season to publish this, but I don’t think Barbie will know the difference. And I’m sure the little girls will enjoy dressing her up in her summer outfit from time to time even in the winter months.

And the best part is that it works up quick and easy, so you can make a few to go with every one of her summer outfits.

Plus, it’s a great stashbuster for your smallest amounts of DK weight yarn.

Crochet Pattern Information:

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:
Yarn: Butterfly Mercerized Cotton (DK #3)
Crochet Hook: E – 3.5mm

Finished Size: Fits the 11.5″ Fashion Doll.

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Esc = Extended Single Crochet
Hk = Hook
Lp/Lps = Loop/Loops
Sl St = Slip Stitch
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches
YO = Yarn Over

Special Stitch Instructions:

Extended Single Crochet (Esc): Insert hk in st or ch indicated, yo and pull up a lp, yo and pull through 1 lp, yo and pull through both lps on hk.

Crochet Pattern Instructions:

Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 8 esc in 2nd ch from hk; join with sl st in first esc. [8 sts]

Rnd 2: Ch 1, work 2 esc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first esc. [16 sts]

Rnd 3: Ch 1, 2 esc in same st as join, esc in next 7 sts, 2 esc in next st, esc in next 7 sts; join with sl st in first esc. [18 sts]

Rnd 4: Ch 1, esc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first esc. [18 sts]

Rnds 5-6: Rep Rnd 4.

Rnd 7: Ch 1, 2 esc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first esc. [36 sts]

Rnd 8: Rep Rnd 4. Fasten Off. [36 sts]
