Scalloped Fashion Doll Dress
Make this Fashion doll crochet dress pattern with leftover yarns. You only need a small amount, and the dress is perfect for your child’s Barbie doll. Choose various colors to match up with other items in Barbie’s wardrobe. It’s a win-win for everyone when you put it that way.
The pattern works up quickly and easily, making it great for stocking suffers and last-minute gift ideas.
The Yarn
I used up leftover yarn of Red Heart Shimmer. Although a medium-weight yarn, I find it on the thinner side. It works well with a G crochet hook.
Other similar yarns should work just as well.
How it’s Made
This fashion doll dress is worked from the bottom up in rounds, then at the waist you begin to work in rows in order to create the back opening. The scalloped edging at the bottom is done last.
I closed mine with two snap closures, but you could also use a small velcro strip to close the dress. The only problem with using velcro strips is that they will snag the fabric, but it might help make it easier to close for a small child.
