The crocheted pacifier clip by Cream Of The Crop Crochet is sure come in handy for you and your little one. It attaches to the pacifier at one end, and the other you can clip onto their shirt to prevent the baby from losing their soother.

It’s a great tool to have at home, while visiting friends and family, or while spending an afternoon in the park. And it makes a great baby shower gift for all babies, including boys and girls. It is also the perfect companion for this crochet teddy bear amigurumi, these baby booties or this lovey.

Due to the nature of this pattern, always supervise your baby while wearing this, and never allow them to sleep with this.

Materials

Red Heart Cutie Pie Yarn (light worsted-3)

  • Color A: Tulip about 25 yards
  • Color B: Koala about 50 yards

D-3 (3.25mm) crochet hook

1” circle pacifier clip

Fabric scissors

Yarn needle, to weave ends

Abbreviations

CA-Color A

CB-Color B

Dc-Double Crochet

Gauge

4 dc sts x 2 rows is 1”

*Change the hook size to obtain the gauge.

Finished Size

About 11” long

  • In the amount of stitches you should have at the end of the row (ex. 11 sts). That count does include the chain.

Pacifier Clip

Starting with CA,

Ch 48

Row 1: dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in each st across

Cut yarn and change to CB.

Row 2: (on opposite side) sk 3 sts, attach yarn, ch 2, 2 dc in same st as ch, 3 dc in next 41 sts, 2 dc in last st, ch 2, slst in same st, ch 25 or as many as needed, slst in first st on opposite side, ch 2, 2 dc in same st as ch, 3 dc in next 41 sts, 2 dc in next st, ch 2, slst in same st as before, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends

With clip, CA yarn and a yarn needle, attach the clip on the end with the flap. Fold over flap with clip on it. Secure the clip with CA yarn and a yarn needle.

Bow

Using CB,

Ch 6,

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st, turn

Rows 2-3: ch 1, sc in each st, turn

Row 4: ch 1, sc in each st around, 3 sc in each corner st, join, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends

Wrap yarn around the middle of the bow tightly and tie both ends together. Attach the bow to the pacifier clip just above the clip with CB yarn and a yarn needle.
