Granny Stitch Square
This guest post is brought to you by Cream Of The Crop Crochet.
Today we have a granny stitch square that you can use to make just about anything you like from blankets, bags, shawls, and many other items! The square pattern is worked in rows, making it easy to customize in size and colors.
Changing colors is super easy as you can change after each row. after every couple of rows, or work it up in blocks of colors for a uniquely modern take on the granny stitch.
The pattern is easy, making it ideal for everyone including beginners who are comfortable making the double crochet stitch.
Although this classic crochet granny square worked in rows the finished size comes out to be about 8 inches square. Thus, mixing and matching this with similar-sized squares is easy for a unique crochet blanket.
A stitch multiple is provided making it super easy to crochet this to any width and length you need from an afghan square to a scarf and even a full-sized blanket!
