Ribbed Slouch Hat

This ribbed slouch hat pattern is very similar to my ribbed hat. The pattern is basically the same except that I made it longer and also made a minor change to the brim of the hat. I made my decreases a round sooner so the front post stitches are pulled together in a point.

Make this crochet slouch for yourself or your friends. It’s perfect for cold winter weather to keep warm in style.

The slouch wraps nicely around the head and forehead, making it great for cancer patients or anyone trying to hide their hair.

Finished Size

When laying flat it measures 9.5″ across the brim as well as from top to bottom. If you need to adjust the size, I would recommend switching up the yarn and hook sizes.

Another option for sizing would be to increase or decrease the number of stitches in the second round. You need a multiple of 2 for the next round, which is the beginning of the cable stitches.

The Yarn

I used Red Heart Soft with a 5 mm crochet hook. Any similar worsted weight yarn will work as a substitute.
