ESC Simple Fashion Doll Shrug ~ FREE Crochet Pattern

This cute doll shrug is designed to fit the 11.5″ Barbie doll. But since there is no stitch multiple, you can just as easy crochet this to fit other dolls as well. Simply make your chains to reach across the back and to where you want the shrug to come out to at the arms and away you go.

For the Barbie doll shrug, you only need a small amount of yarn, making it great for using up your smallest odds and ends.

And, this pattern is the perfect match for the Fashion Doll Summer Dress or the Simple Summer Sun Hat for Barbie.

Crochet Pattern Information

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:
Yarn: Butterfly Mercerized Cotton (DK #3)
Crochet Hook: E – 3.5mm

Finished Size: Fits the 11.5″ Fashion Doll.

Abbreviations:

Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Esc = Extended Single Crochet
Hk = Hook
Lp/Lps = Loop/Loops
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches
YO = Yarn Over

Special Stitch Instructions:

Extended Single Crochet (Esc): Insert hk in st or ch indicated, yo and pull up a lp, yo and pull through 1 lp, yo and pull through both lps on hk.

Crochet Pattern Instructions:

Row 1: Leaving a 5-8″ tail for sewing, loosely ch 19. Working into back bumps, esc in 2nd ch from hk and into each ch across. Turn. [18 sts]

Row 2: Ch 1, esc in first st and into each st across. Turn. [18 sts]

Rows 3-6: Rep Row 2. Fasten off at last row leaving a 5-8″ tail for sewing.

Fold shrug in half so that the first and last rows align. Then with the tail ends sew the two stitches at each end to form seam for shoulders.

To put shrug onto doll, move both arms to the back of the doll and slip the ends over her hands.
