Chunky Crochet Star Baby Blanket Pattern

Jump to Pattern

The chunky crochet star baby blanket pattern is perfect for newborns and up. It’s the perfect little round blanket for playing on the floor, the car seat or for fun and cute photoshoots. The chunky yarn will act as a nice cushion whether on the floor or in a cute basket for the little ones to pose in.

Chunky Crochet Star Baby Blanket Pattern. This round baby blanket is perfect for playing on the floor or for photoshoots.
Chunky Crochet Star Baby Blanket Pattern

The only thing is this blanket is worked up with the granny stitch in between the points of the star which leaves big holes. Babies can easily get their tiny little fingers caught in there, thus it’s advised to never leave your baby alone while using this blanket.

As for the stitch pattern, it is basically a copied version of this star dishcloth, but with a few modifications and a few extra rounds. I would like to do an even bigger version, but that won’t be for a while.

For the edging I used a green contrast yarn, but you could also try an orange for the fall or a red for Christmas.

The best part about this star baby blanket is that it can be worked up in a single afternoon, making it great for a last-minute gift idea.
