Strapless Fashion Doll Dress

Here is a free crochet pattern for a strapless fashion doll dress. The dress is crocheted in rounds from the bottom up to the waist. Thereafter it is worked in rows in order to create the opening at the back. The dress is then closed with a snap button at the top. You could also use a small velcro button, which might make it easier for a small child to open and close.

For this dress I used a small amount of Caron Simply soft, but as always, any similar yarn will do. The beauty of crocheting for the fashion doll is that you can use up all your odds and ends left over from other projects.

The dress is crocheted using very simple stitches, namely the single crochet, half double crochet, and one row with some bead stitches. Towards the top there are also a few decreases made to help with shaping.
