Crossed Double Crochet Scarf

The crossed double crochet scarf pattern is an easy scarf to make for your family and friends. It has a pretty, yet simple, lace that you can be sure that everyone will love.

It will go with any type of outfit from casual to dressy, so you can get lots of use out of it.

You can wear it over a long-sleeved shirt as a jacket alternative, or under a big winter coat. And there are many ways to wrap a scarf, so you can have a different look each time you wear it.

Finished Size

I made mine nice and long so you can wrap it around the neck once for a super cozy scarf.

The width is easily adjusted by chaining any multiple of 2 plus 1. As for the length, simply stop crocheting once you have reached your desired length. Thus, it’s the perfect scarf pattern for the entire family from toddler to adult.

You could also work this in lengthwise rows for a slightly different look.

The Yarn

I used a DK weight acrylic yarn called Red Heart Comfort Sport. It comes in big balls just like the regular comfort, making it an excellent yarn if you are on a budget.

The dk yarn works up very nice, washes well, and makes for a great scarf for spring and fall weather.

The Stitch Pattern

This free crochet pattern is worked with a row of single crochets in between the crossed double crochets. It is simple and mindless to work on.

If you can make the single crochet, double crochet, and are ready to learn the cross stitch, then you can make this crossed double crochet stitch scarf. And if you’re not ready, you can simply work the cross stitches as normal double crochets for a plain and simple double crochet scarf pattern.
