Recommended Yarn
For this card pouch, you need something that is nice and sturdy and does not stretch out too much. I have found Bernat Handicrafter to be a good choice, but any similar worsted weight cotton yarn will work.

This pattern is worked with half double crochet stitches. The stitches are worked like a v-stitch, except you don’t make a chain in between the stitches.

Instructions
- Ch 12
- Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk and in next 9 chs, 3 sc in last ch, working into free loops of beginning chs, sc in next 9 chs, 2 sc in last ch; join with sl st to first sc. (24 sts)
- Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in same st as join, *sk next st, 2 hdc in next st; rep from * around; sk last st; join with sl st in first hdc. (24 hdc)
- Note: When you work 2 hdc's into the same stitch or space, think of these as a set. Then when you crochet your next round and the pattern says "2 hdc in sp before next hdc", work these in between the previous set of hdc's as pictured. See Tutorial
- Rnd 3: Ch 1, sk the st where you made the join; work 2 hdc in sp before next hdc, *sk next 2 hdc, 2 hdc in sp before next hdc; rep from * around; join with sl st in first hdc.
- Rnds 4-7: Rep rnd 3.
Begin Working in Rows
- Row 1: Ch 1, sc in same st as join and in next 12 sts. (13 sts) Turn, leaving remaining sts unworked.
- Rows 2-5: Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st across. (13 sts)
- Row 6: Ch 1, sc in first 6 sts, ch 3, sk next st, sc in last 6 sts. Do Not FO, Turn and continue with edging.
Edging:
- Ch 1, sc in first st and into each st and ch across up to last st, work 3 sc into last st, continue to work along edge and sc evenly around, work another 2 sc into same st as where the first sc was made; join with sl st to first sc. FO.
