Easy Popcorn Crochet Cup Cozy

This crochet cup cozy pattern is worked up using one round of a small popcorn stitch to make it fun for everyone. It works up quick and easy, and is perfect for gifting to family and friends.

Easy popcorn crochet cup cozy pattern shown in two ways: a solid and two-tone color.

The pattern is written for two colors, but you can just easy whip this up in a solid color as well. Either way, you only need a small amount of yarn, thus making it a great stashbuster project.

Choose a cotton for several reasons. One being that it is heat resistant, thus can do a better job at protecting your hands from the heat. And two, it doesn’t stretch as much as some of the other yarns. You don’t want anything too stretchy because it might give way to the cup sliding around in there too much, which could lead to accidental spills.

I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton. It’s a medium worsted weight #4 yarn. But anything similar will work just as well.
