Alternating Wine Bottle Cozy
Continuing with my wine bottle cozies, I made this one a bit bigger than the rest that I made so far. This one is designed to fit a bottle with a 4″ diameter. If you need a different size, simply increase/decrease the diameter and then make adjustments for the handle accordingly. Any multiple of two works with this simple pattern.
And, since it’s so easy to adjust in size, you could leave off the handles and crochet this as a jar cozy as well.
I chose a red and white, which makes it great for Christmas, Valentines, Canada Day, or any other occasion. But, it’ll look great in other colors as well.

- Join each round in both loops of first stitch.
- If you experience difficulties making the first flhdc and blslst in each round, try wiggling the hook.
- The stitches are alternated with the hdc worked into the front loop only of the sl st, and the sl st is worked into the back loop only of the hdc.
