ESC Crochet Baby Mitts – 3-6 months

Use these crochet baby mitts to keep those tiny hands nice and cozy in the cold weather. They are perfect for the car or days when it’s not too cold out. Plus, they can also be used as scratch mitts to prevent babies from scratching up their faces.

Finished Size

These crochet mittens are designed for a 3-6 month old. Laid flat they are about 2.75″ across the body and 4.5″ long. They are slightly bigger than the ones I published a few months back, which were designed to fit a newborn. You can check them out here: Crochet Baby Scratch Mitts

You can adjust this mitten pattern as needed in any multiple of 2.

The Yarn

I used Caron Simply Soft. It is a medium worsted weight acrylic yarn. It is not a baby yarn, however, it is soft, and perfect for making all kinds of baby items.

You can certainly substitute with a baby yarn if you wish, just double-check the gauge, or make adjustments to the size.

Other baby patterns to try are this seed stitch baby blanket, this crochet teddy bear, or this teething toy. One or all would make for a nice addition to a baby shower gift.
