Large Baby Bib ~ FREE Crochet Pattern
Large Baby Bib ~ FREE Crochet Pattern

This pattern has been updated on Feb. 10, 2015. I made a change in the size as I found the earlier version too large for a baby. This pattern was one of my first designs, and I think I crocheted fairly tight at the time.  So hopefully this one will be better. You see it modeled on a mannequin for a 6 month old. It’s fairly big on it, so it should be okay for 1 year olds and older. Stitch counts have been added along with an image to help with row 6.

The original started off with 18 chains, whereas this one is started with only 10 chains. You can also start it off with 14 chains if you’d like a larger one that this. Let me know if you run into any problems. Thanks so  much.

Material: Bernat Handicrafter 100% Cotton

Hi Colleen, The 2 tr sts are worked into the ch-2 space in row 3. So you go behind your work and stick your hook around the loop and work the tr as normal. I’m not sure how to explain it, but I’ll put it on my to-do list to do a photo tutorial on that. :)

Actually the tr sts are at the back of the above loops. I’m going to try and do some photos tomorrow and post them. :)
