Super Bulky Easy Crochet Lapghan

This super bulky easy crochet lapghan pattern works up quick. It is the perfect size for cozying up on the couch, or for those in wheelchairs.

A super bulky blanket draped over a chair.

Although a bit long, this is also the perfect size for a toddler. However, if making this for a toddler, you may want to switch to bernat baby blanket yarn. I believe it has a similar gauge.

If you need to make this in other sizes, here is a blanket size chart to use as a reference. This pattern should work in any yarn and hook size as long as you make your beginning chains according to the size you want.

  1. I love this pattetn! I’m making this blanket with 3 different colors of bernat blanket yarn and it’s very pretty! Thanks so much for sharing. I wish I could share a picture of my blanket. Love and blessings to you, Donna

    1. It depends on how big you want it. I would start with about 120-150 chains in the multiple of 3+1 for a lapghan. A gauge swatch is a good place to start in determining how many stitches per inch. Then times that by how many inches wide you want the blanket to be. Hope that helps. :)
