Offset Shell Quick Crochet Dishcloth

The offset shell quick crochet dishcloth pattern features a lacy version of the shell stitch. In addition to the lace, it has a nice loose drape which is always nice in a dishcloth.

The offset shell also goes by a few other names including adjacent shells or asymmetrical shells. There are slight variations but basically the same technique is used.

The stitch pattern is perfect for beginners who are comfortable with skipping stitches and working multiple stitches into the same chain space.

I found the amount of lace was just right for a dishcloth, not to open and not to solid. It works up quickly and easily and also dries pretty quick as well.

Why not make a few for yourselves and a few for your gift baskets.
