Small Beginner Crochet Bag Pattern Instructions

Rnd 1: Ch 24, sc in 2nd ch from hook and into next 21 sts, 3 sc in last ch. Working on opposite side of starting chs, sc in free loops of next 21 chs, 2 sc in last ch; join with sl st in first sc. [48 sts]

Rnds 2-5: Ch 1, sc in first st and in each st around; join with sl st in first sc. [48 sts]

Rnd 6: Ch 1, (sc, ch 2) in same st as join, *sk next st, (sc, ch 2) in next st; rep from * around to last st, sk last st; join with sl st in first sc. [24 ch-2 lps]

Rnd 7: Sl st into ch-2 sp, ch 1, work 2 sc into same sp and into each sp around; join with sl st in first sc. [48 sts]

Rnds 8-11: Rep Rnds 6-7.

Rnds 12-27: Rep Rnds 2-11 once, then rep Rnds 2-7 once more.

Rnd 28: Ch 1, (sc, ch 2) in same st as join, sk next st, (sc, ch 2) in next st, sk next st, sc in next st, ch 25, sk next 11 sts, [(sc, ch 2) in next st, sk next st] 6 times, sc in next st, ch 25, sk next 11 sts, [(sc, ch 2) in next st, sk next st] 4 times; join with sl st in first sc. [12 ch-2 sps, and 50 chs]

Rnd 29: Sl st into ch-2 sp, ch 1, work 2 sc into same sp and into next sp, sk next st, sc in next 25 chs, sk next st, [2 sc into next ch-2 sp] 6 times, sk next st, sc in next 25 chs, sk next st, [2 sc into next ch-2 lp] 4 times; join with sl st in first sc. [74 sts]

Rnds 30-31: Rep Rnds 6-7. Fasten off after Rnd 31.
