Clustered Puffy Pentagon Doily

Free Crochet Pattern
Clustered Puffy Pentagon Doily

Free crochet pattern for a clustered puffy pentagon doily. The doily works up fast and can also be used as a coaster or as a face scrubbie when made with a thread. In a worsted weight yarn it can serve as a plant pot holder. And if made in a cotton yarn it could serve as a hotpad as it has quite a bit of padding to it.

Although you can use any thread or yarn that you like to make this pattern, I found that it lays much flatter when made in a thread. In a worsted weight yarn is tends to flop a bit, however, the floppiness can be blocked out.

Also, I found that the thread creates a lacier look than a thicker yarn. But the thicker and more solid looks quite nice as well.

The doily measures 4″ across when made in a size 10 crochet thread, and 8.5 in a worsted weight yarn.

And for something a bit prettier and in a worsted weight yarn, you might enjoy this doily.
