Bead Stitch Crochet Hair Scrunchie
Make this crochet hair scrunchie in one or two colors. It is shown in only one color, but the bead stitch round would look nice in a contrasting color. And that means you can use up all kinds of leftovers to make this!
The hair scrunchie is nice and full, but with a fine yarn, it doesn’t get too bulky or heavy, making it perfect for everyone.

Bead Stitch Crochet Hair Scrunchie Pattern Information
This crochet hair scrunchie works up quickly using only a small amount of Cotton Fair. It can be crocheted in one or two colors.
The scrunchie starts off by working single crochets around a hair elastic. Then, to avoid excess bulk, half double crochets and chain two spaces for the next round. Next, a round of single crochets, followed by a round of bead stitches, and finally, another round of single crochets to complete the scrunchie.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Materials
- Yarn: Cotton Fair by Premier Yarns (Fine, #2; 52% Cotton, 48% Acrylic; 317yds/290m; 3.5oz./100g) 1 ball
- Crochet Hook: E 3.50mm
- Other: 1 Goody Hair elastic
- Tools: Scissors, Yarn Needle.
I used a fine #2 yarn called Cotton Fair. I love this yarn because not only is it super soft and easy to work with, but it also gives you a nice, full scrunchie without the weight.
The Size
It is worked around a 6″ circumference hair scrunchie, but it can be worked around any size scrunchie you like. Simply work as many single crochets around the elastic to fill it up nicely.
The stitch multiple for Round 4 is a multiple of 2. Round 3 will give you this multiple regardless of what you start with in the first round.
