Seed Stitch Crochet Glass Cozy
This crochet glass cozy is perfect for catching drips from your cold glass of water. It is worked from the bottom of the cup up, so you have a two-in-one for a cozy and coaster.
The cozy is designed to fit a short 3.25″ diameter glass. However, you might also be able to use this on a taller glass as well.
The seed stitch is worked by alternating between the single crochet and the double crochet stitches. It not only results in a beautiful texture, but it’s also the perfect stitch for working up in stripes.

Instructions
- Rnd 1: Work 8 sc into a magic circle. Pull tight and join with sl st in first sc. [8 sts]
- Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc, dc) into same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first sc. [16 sts]
- Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc, dc) in same st as join, (sc, dc) into each of next 2 sts, *sk next st, (sc, dc) into each of next 3 sts; rep from * around to last st; sk last st; join with sl st in first sc. [24 sts]
- Rnd 4: Rep Rnd 3. [36 sts]
- Rnd 5: Ch 1, (sc, dc) into same st as join, *sk next st, (sc, dc) in next st; rep from * around to last st; sk last st; join with sl st in first sc. [36 sts]
- Rnds 6-12: Rep Rnd 5 until you have reached a desired height.
- Rnd 13: Ch 1, sc in same st as join and into each st around; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
