Crochet Blossom Stitch – Photo Tutorial

This easy ear warmer pattern is worked in the round using the blossom stitch. The stitch is easy to make and is worked over two pattern rows.

In one row you work the v-stitch and single crochets. Then for the next row, you simply work the single crochet followed by a chain, and then a double crochet followed by a chain.

The hardest part about the blossom stitch is remembering which row you are on! The following tutorial shows how to make the stitch step by step.

Note: The pattern above starts with a foundation single crochet. In the tutorial, however, I started with a series of chains and then worked the first round of single crochets into the chains. You can do whatever is most comfortable for you, however, the foundation single crochets will give you a more stretchy edge.
