Single Crochet Cross Stitch Baby Blanket Pattern Information

This blanket is worked simply with the single crochet cross stitch. It is beginner friendly provided you are comfortable with making the cross stitch.

The cross stitch gives you a pretty texture on both sides and makes for a super cozy winter blanket for everyone.

Another preemie blanket pattern worked in the cross stitch is the ESC cross stitch blanket.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials

  • Yarn: Bernat Baby Sport (Light, #3; 100% acrylic; 350g/12.3oz; 1256yds/1148m) Color: Baby Taupe, 1 ball.
  • Crochet Hook: G 4mm crochet hook.
  • Tools: Measuring Tape, Scissors, Yarn Needle.

I used Bernat Baby Sport, which is economical and baby-friendly. If you want to make a blanket for the floor, choose a thicker yarn like Bernat Baby Blanket, or work with two strands to make it super cushiony for them.

Measurements – Size Chart

  • Gauge: 21 sts = 4″.
