Shell Shawl Crochet Pattern – Alternating Shells and V’s

This shell shawl crochet pattern is worked up in a blue colorway using a self-striping yarn. While the blue is perfect for the summer, representing the clear skies on a warm, sunny day, this shawl can be crocheted in any colors, including a solid color or a pretty striped design.

The shell and V-stitch add a pretty texture that gives the shawl an elegant look, making it a great choice for everyday wear and for every occasion.

I had a lot of yarn for this shawl, so I kept crocheting until I ran out. It came out super long! But oh, I love wearing mine. I can wrap it around any way to stay cozy. It wraps nicely around the shoulders and can also be worn as an oversized scarf in cold weather.

Adjust the width in the stitch multiple provided, and then crochet until you reach the length that you want.

As for the stitch pattern, it is worked over four pattern rows. It is easy and mindless once you get past the first few rows.

While you can substitute any yarn and hook size for this shawl, a cotton yarn works nicely because it blocks well to bring out the beautiful shell stitch pattern.
